Mean Duration of Unemployment



The data shows that the length of time one remains unemployed is 10.3 weeks. Do unemployment benefits encourage a longer time unemployed? I doubt it.

  1. 10.3?? I am really surprised! 10.3. doesn't seem so many. And generally, that picture shows so far, so good for the United States. But I am afraid what will appear at the right end of chart in some years...
